Author programs at Driftwood Public Library connect readers and writers in a way that enriches both. They also provide informative and entertaining programs to the community. Our goal at Driftwood is to have at least one author visit each month and to share their views on storytelling with our patrons.

We have developed several author series and programs over the years, including:

January Oregon Legacy Literary Series – the longest running author series on the Oregon Coast
April Poets' Series

October Dark and Stormy Night Mystery Series

November A lecture near Veteran's Day that pertains to some aspect of military history.

December The Winter Solstice Celebration provides a reflective, peaceful, non-religious alternative to the holiday bustle.

There is always room for more author programs at Driftwood. Our Adult Services Coordinator,
Ken Hobson,
welcomes patrons' ideas and suggestions for programming.
