The library has purchased ten WiFi hotspots that can be checked out by members of the public for up to two weeks, at no charge.
Driftwood Public Library offers wireless internet free of charge. There is no password required to connect to the network.
Please be advised that:
The library provides twelve public stations for access to word processing, email and to search the Internet. There is no charge to use these workstations except for the cost of printing at $.10 per sheet. Patrons may log on to the computers using their Driftwood Public Library, Tillamook County, or Newport Public Library card. Visitors may request a guest pass at the circulation desk.
Use of these free workstations is based on a space-available system. When you use one of the workstations, you will be asked to enter your library card number or guest pass number. Your one-hour session will begin at that time; you will be notified automatically when your session is about to end. Should you need to leave before your hour is up, you may return if a station is available and use the rest of your hour. Sessions can be extended by library staff if there is no one waiting to use the computers.
Our reference librarian offers drop-in sessions on Tuesdays at 10 AM and 6 PM addressing various technology topics, or is available for one-on-one assistance with online research, ebooks, and other tech issues. Contact Matthew Baiocchi at 541-557-1116 or at email@example.com, or stop by the reference desk to set up an appointment.
